Who: Project for Lenovo as an Animation Intern at Brand New School in New York.

When: February 2011

What: An anthem piece around the brand’s new slogan: “For those who do.” We put together a classic live action piece, with some Rube Goldberg-style mechanics and slick animation peppered in for good measure.

Role: I was part of the animation post team, compositing the blinking light layers for the globe, and creating the warp tunnel in Cinema 4D.

Who:  Personal Project for a Live vDJ performance recording.

When: March 2010. First performed @ The RE-form Gallery Event Opening in Nashville, TN.

What:  A collage of original music edits and stock footage cinema mashups intended for dancefloor consumption. An hour of bootleg highlights spliced in After Effects, Premiere, and Ableton to illustration my media tastes. Nostalgic inspirations range from films such as the Forbidden Zone, Barbarella, and Tapeheads; TV shows such as Freaks and Geeks, The Muppets, and Mr. Rogers; and musical artists such as Ganpol Und Mit, St. Vincent, and Manny Pacquiao.

Who: Personal Project with NYC electric violin diva Sarina Suno.

When: Filmed in the Summer of 2006, Edited September 2010.

What: We recorded a track together called Global Warming, and attempted to shoot a music video for it on her rooftop in Brooklyn. I had originally misplaced the dv tape, but found it four years later an decided to play around with a quick snippet of the track. Practiced color correction, noise grain distortion, and motion blur techniques to complement the overall intensity of the piece.
